The 2010 Primanti’s-For-All: Oakland!

Achievement: #13. Go to all the Pittsburgh Primanti Brothers

Stop #2 on our Primanti Challenge was the Oakland Primanti’s. Despite going to college just up the street for six years, I really never went to this location too often, and really, it’s a shame. This Primanti’s is one of the ‘true’ locations. The food is made right in front of you on the greasy grill, and they do not skimp on the toppings in any way. Oh how heavenly, and oh how huge!!

Here is Michael with his angus strip steak sandwich.

And here I am with my salami and cheese sandwich. For a long time, this was the only sandwich I would eat at Primanti’s, before I started eating them at sporting events and had to switch to capicola 🙂

That is an understatement. They really are piled high. Like… really high.

The bread pile! Pittsburgh’s Breadworks Bread (one of the top two breads you can get in this city, and probably also in the world ;).
