Murray Avenue Restaurant Challenge: Bruegger’s Bagels

Achievement: #2. Eat at every restaurant on Murray Ave

There is a Subway on Murray Avenue that we have discounted in our Achievement, simply because ‘it is an ordinary chain, and we do not need to try it.’ (There are no other chains or fast food places.) However, we decided to include Bruegger’s Bagels, for some unknown reason. Maybe it’s because we really like bagels. Maybe it’s because it’s one of the only places left on that stretch of Murray Ave where we actually *can* go (Bruegger’s lost its neighbors Panera and Barnes and Noble in the past year, quite sadly).

So Michael went and grabbed us the classic rosemary and olive oil bagels from Bruegger’s so we could enjoy a scrumptious breakfast.

Here the bagels are, fresh out of the bag and ready for us to load them up with protein…

…which came in the form of Ducktrap Smoked Salmon!! (Seriously, if you’re a lox-o-phile like us, go to Wholey’s today and get some. The 8oz pack is just slightly more expensive than the 4oz pack is at Giant Eagle. And now I’m done advertising my favorite seafood place 🙂 Michael put cream cheese, salmon, fresh onions, and capers on our bagels, and it was quite a full meal!
