Pittsburgh Churches: Third Presbyterian In Shadyside

Achievement: #58. Photograph 10 Pittsburgh churches

This Achievement started in 2009, and while it seems like quite a simple one, it has proved to be very hard to pull off!

Pittsburgh has beautiful architecture all over, but the old stone churches are truly some of the best examples. My goal is to have a fairly comprehensive photo collection of the beautiful churches in our city, so even after this Achievement is complete, I would like to keep photographing the churches we see. And of course, any time we go to a new city (New York City in particular), I drag Michael around to all the famous old churches. It’s one of those things I never get tired of seeing.

That being said, it’s kind of ridiculous that it took us until September to get the first church picture. I guess that even though we pass lots of beautiful churches, we don’t often stop to take pictures. We are going to have to work on that!

Third Presbyterian
Our first church is Third Presbyterian on Fifth Avenue in Shadyside.
